Description
For your consideration is this F.P. Journe Octa Automatique Lune, a rare timepiece made to the highest horological standards. This is a watch for connoisseurs of only the finest. Features include a whitened guilloche silver dial designed in the classic FPJ fashion, heat tempered blue hands, solid platinum case, sapphire display caseback, moon phase display, power reserve indicator, running small seconds, quick-set date function and screw-down crown. Powering the watch is the innovative in-house calibre 1300.3. The movement itself is made from actual 18k rose gold (>99% of movements, including those of other extremely high-end brands, are made from brass and then chromium plated) and hand-decorated, giving it an extremely unique attractive appearance. Other movement features include automatic winding via the solid 22k solid gold rotor, a massive 120 hour power reserve and large free-sprung balance (relative to the watch's power reserve), giving the watch added shock protection and improved timekeeping performance. The watch is fitted on a FPJ black alligator leather strap with accompanying platinum buckle.
