Description
For your consideration is this Grand Seiko Spring GMT SBGE033 which was released as a limited edition run of only 500 pieces globally. Featuring an attractive deep green dial with sun ray finish (almost impossible to capture in photos, but stunning to see in person), and features Grand Seiko’s now legendary Zaratsu finished hands and matching hour markers on the dial. The hands and dial markers feature LumiBrite luminous material making the watch highly legible both day and night. The stainless steel case is hand-finished using Grand Seiko’s Zaratsu polishing technique resulting in a mirror-like effect on its polished surfaces. The front-facing lug surfaces feature a straight-grained satin finish. The case is solidly built and water-resistant up to 100 metres. The case-back features a sapphire crystal aperture allowing one to see the beautiful movement inside working away. The limited edition number is engraved along the circumference of the case-back. The watch is fitted with a brown crocodile leather strap. The strap is in worn but good condition. The strap is fitted with a stainless steel folding clasp providing security on the wrist and easy fitting. Powering the watch is the Grand Seiko calibre 9R66, the first Spring Drive movement with GMT function ever released, featuring power reserve display, hacking seconds, automatic winding, running centre seconds, date display and an astonishingly large 72 hour power reserve. The watch is rated to ±1 seconds per day, an almost unbelievably accurate timekeeping rating for a watch driven by mechanical kinetic energy which is owed to Grand Seiko’s Spring Drive innovation. The watch is preserved in excellent condition, showing only very light signs of wear. The watch comes as a complete set with box and papers. The watch had a complete service by Grand Seiko in Japan in 2020 and accordingly is in excellent working condition. Paperwork from the service is also provided with the watch.
