Description

The Rolex Explorer 114270 is a watch without any showy elements or extraneous features. It’s a simple watch, made to do one thing and do it extremely well, and is perfectly suited to a so-called ‘one-watch’ collection.

Once under the radar, in the last year the Rolex Explorer (both I and II) has usurped the throne to become the fastest growing and most desirable model in the Rolex range. It was only a matter of time; historically speaking, the Rolex Explorer may very well be the most important watch Rolex has ever released, and the fact that the design has changed so little over the decades is testament to how perfect the design is. Nothing needs to change now, or ever.  

This example is in excellent condition showing only very light superficial wear. The watch still has its original factory caseback sticker. The full-size 12 link Oyster bracelet is in similarly excellent condition and is stamped with a 2003 date code.

Powering the watch is the automatic COSC certified Rolex calibre 3130, a time-tested movement that is more than up to the task put before it: To be an ultra-reliable engine capable of withstanding the toughest of life’s adventures.

The watch comes with original papers and matching hang tag.
