For your consideration is this A. Lange & Söhne Zeitwerk Date, a rare, attractive and highly technical white gold timepiece from one of the heavyweights of watchmaking. All of Lange's models are extremely unique, but the Zeitwerk is truly in a class of its own. It's a technical marvel and a masterpiece of design, and there's nothing out there that comes close. Upon its release it was the first completely mechanical wristwatch to display hours and minutes with jumping numerals. The Zeitwerk truly has unbeatable legibility due to its large numerals which allow the wearer to read the time at a glance. Of course, as with all Lange watches the back is just as captivating as the front. The calibre L043.8 powering this timepiece is no exception, featuring a wide range of hand finishes and complicated mechanisms that are on full display for the wearer to enjoy. The timepiece also features a power-reserve indicator, date display on the peripheral ring, running small-seconds and a constant-force escapement ensuring superb timekeeping performance. The watch is fitted on a brown alligator leather band along with a solid white gold deployment clasp.
