Description
This IWC Portugieser Hand-Wound reference IW545408 is an attractive and rare timepiece that has serious presence on the wrist. The large dial almost takes up almost the entire front of the 44mm watch, making the gold indices and hands super legible against the powder white dial. This particular version of the Portugieser is now discontinued and new versions are no longer manual-wind, losing some of the charm and visual appeal of manual-wind watches in the process, as well as drifting further away from the original versions of the watch that made the model famous. The watch is fitted on a brand-new IWC black alligator leather strap bought for the watch at a cost of AUD $480. The watch had a complete service by IWC in August 2017 and remains in excellent working condition. Paperwork from the service is also provided with the watch.
