For your consideration is this extremely attractive Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Control Date, a minimalist and timeless example of fine watchmaking from the brand known as the “watchmaker’s watchmaker”, Jaeger-LeCoultre. The watch is a thoroughly modern re-interpretation of some of the most iconic dress watches ever made. It’s not pushing any barriers in design, but is just a perfectly executed dress watch that would make a perfect addition to any watch collection, as its simplicity and subtlety lends it to a wide variety of use cases. Powering the watch is the Jaeger-LeCoultre in-house calibre 899, featuring automatic bi-directional winding (ball-bearing rotor), 70-hour power reserve, silicon hairspring, date function and hacking seconds. As beautiful as it is functional, the movement is hand-finished using a number of different techniques and features flame-blued screws for extra visual appeal. The watch is fitted on a Novonappa tan calf-skin leather strap with stainless steel folding clasp, providing the ultimate comfort and security on the wrist. The watch is in worn but excellent condition, showing only extremely minor signs of wear upon close inspection. The watch comes as a complete set with box and papers.
