Description

The Omega Seamaster is one of the greatest watches ever made. Alongside the Omega Speedmaster, it ranks up with the Rolex Submariner, Cartier Tank, Audemars Piguet Royal Oak and IWC Portugieser (to name a few) as one of the most significant and iconic watches in history. And this piece we have here is a re-edition of the very first Seamaster first ever made, originally released in 1957, making it a very significant watch indeed. 

This watch was released in 2017 as a numbered special edition of only 3,557 pieces to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the original 1957 Seamaster. While faithful to the original design, the watch has been updated with all the latest and greatest Omega innovations, including an anti-reflective coated sapphire crystal, SuperLuminova dial markings, 300 metres water resistance, an upgraded bracelet and the Master Chronometer certified automatic calibre 8806 with coaxial escapement, one of the best watch movements on the market today regardless of price.

The watch also has a lock-down crown, a bi-directional rotating bezel and 15,000 Gauss magnetic field resistance.

Thankfully, Omega chose to buck the trend of most other brands and not make the this Seamaster re-edition larger than the original. With all the new technology inside, the classic design and 39mm size makes this one of the most compelling watches on the market, perfect for any situation. 

If you’re the sporty type, this Omega Seamaster is tough and versatile enough to handle rough wear, and has enough edge to it that it will always look the part. At the same time, its 39mm size means it can easily slip into a more formal situation and not look overly ostentatious. 

The manufacturers originally warranty is still valid for the next two years. 

This watch has been worn, but is in excellent, near-new condition, with only minor scuffs visible when viewed extremely closely. 

Comes as a full-set with box and papers as well as spring bar tool and two additional straps, an Omega golden-brown leather strap and an Omega black NATO strap.

The watch has been inspected and tested for performance and is in excellent working condition.
