Description
This Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch Professional reference 310.30.42.50.01.002, released in 2021, is the newest generation of Omega’s iconic Moonwatch. We all knew it was coming, and after years of guessing it has finally arrived: A classic Speedmaster Moonwatch with a calibre 3861 Co-Axial Master Chronometer movement. Omega has been slowly but surely updating its entire range of watches with the co-axial escapement, and this Moonwatch now enjoys the benefits of the co-axial escapement invented by legendary watchmaker George Daniels which has been adopted and developed to new heights by Omega. Compared to the previous version of the Speedmaster Moonwatch, almost every feature of the watch has changed, but with the exception of the bracelet which has a very different design, the changes have been subtle. Indeed, on first glance this new generation Speedmaster looks very similar to the previous. And that’s exactly what we love about it – the previous generation Moonwatch was already close to perfection, Omega would be doing the watch a disservice if it was to radically change everything. We say it often, and we mean it. If you’re looking for an extremely well-built watch that you’ll have for life and never tire of, the Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch is the watch for you. This is the so-called "Sapphire Sandwich" version of the watch with the sapphire display case-back and sapphire crystal on the front of the watch. The watch is in brand-new, unworn condition, and is still wrapped in the stickers that it left the factory with. The watch comes as a complete-set with papers (international warranty card, pictogram card, master chronometer card), manual, hang tag and is triple-boxed. The inner box also contains a removable section that folds into a small travel case for your watch (visible in the sixth picture above). A bonus card case is offered with the watch by Hailwood Peters to store the cards (Omega doesn’t provide card cases with their newest range of watches). As well, the watch comes with a NASA logo hat and patch to compliment and commemorate this iconic space faring watch. The original manufacturer’s warranty is valid until April 2026. The watch has been inspected and tested for performance and is in excellent working condition. Hailwood Peters guarantees the watch for authenticity.
