Description
After being chosen by NASA as the watch to be worn by the astronauts that took part in the most momentous event in human history, the 1969 moon landing, the Speedmaster Moonwatch Professional has been Omega’s flagship watch ever since, and it will likely continue to be so for the next few decades. Little has changed since the first incarnation of the Moonwatch Professional, and we don’t think very much will change in the future either. And that’s just the way it should be. Perhaps it was a stroke of genius from the design team, or maybe Omega just got lucky, but whatever it is, Omega created a perfectly designed watch that is an eternal classic. The beautiful, rhodium-plated manual-wind calibre 1863 powering the watch hasn’t changed much over the years either, and is a direct descendant of the original manual-winding movement in the watch worn by the astronauts that landed on the moon. It is visible through the transparent display caseback. This Omega Speedmaster Professional Chronograph is an essential in any collection. The original manufacturer's warranty is valid until June 2025. This watch is in brand-new, unworn condition, and is still wrapped in the stickers that it originally left the factory with. The watch comes as full-set with box and papers, as well as number of accessories including spring bar tool, watchmaker’s eyeglass, Speedmaster paperweight and two additional straps; a black NATO strap and black velcro strap specifically designed for use by Astronauts. The watch has been inspected and tested for performance and is in excellent working condition.
