Description
This Panerai Luminor PAM 663 is a modern throw-back to the glory days of Panerai. The tobacco-brown dial and brown hands are a thing of real beauty. It’s a colour-scheme that is unique in the world of watches and one steeped in history, being inspired by the legendary Panerai reference 6154, one of the most coveted vintage Panerai’s. Produced as a limited-edition of 1000 pieces, this PAM 663, numbered 0880/1000, is a modern watch with a careful balance of old and new features. The simple understated design and time-tested toughness make it perfect for everyday wear. The Luminor shaped case is a pleasure to wear on the wrist, wearing much smaller than its stated 47mm case size. We recommend it for wrists sized at least 17cm and above. Powering the watch is the manual-wind Panerai calibre P.3000 manufactured entirely in-house. The watch has a 3-day power reserve owing to its double-barrel system. Though not officially rated by “C.O.S.C” as a chronometer (a conscious decision made by the brand, Panerai’s CEO has stated they will no longer pursue COSC certification), the watch would easily pass their rigorous timekeeping standards. The watch is in excellent condition showing minor signs of wear upon close inspection. The watch comes with three straps: A classic Panerai black rubber strap, perfect for when the watch is worn around water, and a Panerai calf leather “Ponte Vecchio” dark brown strap for more formal settings and a Panerai blue canvas strap that is soft to the touch and highly resistant to wear and tear. The watch has one owner provenance and comes with the original purchase invoice. The watch was originally purchased from Hamilton Jewellers in New Jersey, USA on 29th September 2018. The watch also comes with its Panerai protective case cover, Hamilton Jewellers jewellery bag, Panerai microfibre cloth and an extra Panerai plexiglass crystal for use in future, should you happen to damage or scratch the current one.
