Description
For your consideration is this very special version of the Panerai Luminor which was released as a limited edition of only 200 pieces. The watch features Panerai’s traditional cushion-shaped Luminor case but with a huge range of features that elevate the watch beyond anything we’ve seen from the brand before, and placing the watch in a unique category without parallel in the watch market. The most striking feature is of course the black sandblasted ceramic case (it’s not a coating) which makes the watch extraordinary light for its size. The matte black case is perfectly complimented by the deep midnight blue dial with satin sun-ray finish and the suede strap with titanium DLC coated pin-buckle. The watch has an ultra-convenient 8-day power reserve with a linear indicator at the 6 o’clock position. The column-wheel chronograph is operated by a single pusher at the 8 o’clock position on the watch with the 30-minute counter located at the 3 o’clock position on the dial. At 9 o’clock we see a second time zone GMT indicator with AM/PM displays which can be directly set via the crown. Visible through the sapphire case-back is the Panerai hand-wound calibre P.2004, the first chronograph movement created entirely in-house by Panerai. A testament to Panerai’s commitment to quality and innovation, the movement has a diameter of only 37mm and thickness of 8.2mm despite the array of features packed inside. As beautiful as it functional, the movement is finished with straight-grained bridges, circular polished gears, chamfered bridge eyes and polished screws. Coupled with the watch’s inherent toughness, water resistance and reliability, this cross-section of features ticks the boxes required for a travel or everyday timepiece.

The watch comes as a complete set with box and papers. Also included with the set is an additional Panerai blue calf-leather strap in brand-new, unworn condition.
