This Rolex Day-Date 1803 is an extraordinarily beautiful and well-preserved example of the world’s most iconic dress watch model. The watch’s gold on gold colour scheme is perhaps the most classic of all, and helps give the watch unmatched elegance and presence on the wrist. We’ve said it before, but it deserves repeating. The Rolex Day-Date 1803 is a watch that every serious watch collection should have. It’s a classically styled watch with conservative dimensions made for life’s formal occasions. The watch’s serial number indicates it was manufactured in 1972 and subsequently sold in Singapore in 1973 as per the watch’s papers. Despite being nearly 50 years old the watch is preserved in very good condition commensurate with its age showing signs of light wear. The case retains a thick and even profile and well-defined bevels. The original tritium dial and hands are matching and in excellent condition. The watch is fitted with a brown calf leather strap and an original Rolex gold-plated buckle. The watch comes as a complete set with box and papers. The box is a very special and seldom seen leather box with wooden interior that is in excellent condition.
