Description
For your consideration is this extremely attractive Rolex Explorer Two-Tone Gold/Steel version of the world’s most iconic Explorer’s watch (it’s all in the name, right?). This model was released in late 2021 and marked the first time Rolex ever produced the Explorer watch in a precious metal. While it seemed like a somewhat controversial move on paper, the end result is truly a sight to behold, and the watch quickly won over the collecting community, including the so-called steel-only purists. To match the addition of yellow gold on the case and bracelet Rolex has utilised gold-hands and gold accents on the dial hour markers to retain a consistent feel across the watch and give it an extra luxury feel. Dressed up or dressed down, suit and tie, shorts and t-shirt and even on the slopes in hiking gear doing what it was originally designed for, this watch looks great in all situations. It must be said: Forget what you’ve heard or read in the past. Two-tone watches are now well and truly in - especially with the younger generation - because they offer so much style versatility and a perfect way to wear a bit of gold on the wrist without being too over the top. This is one of our favourite releases of the last few years, we just wish we could keep it for ourselves. The watch is powered by the Rolex 3230 calibre featuring automatic winding, hacking seconds, Parachrom hairspring, Chronergy escapement and 70-hour power reserve. It is COSC certified ensuring superb timekeeping performance. The watch is in excellent condition, showing only light signs of wear on the case and bracelet. The watch comes as a complete-set with box and papers. The watch has been tested and inspected for performance and is in excellent working condition. Hailwood Peters guarantees the watch for authenticity. The original manufacturer’s warranty is valid until June 2026.
