This Rolex Explorer reference 214270 is without doubt the most overlooked watch in Rolex’s range. Collectors have collectively gone bananas for Rolex’s Submariner, GMT-Master and Daytona models, putting them almost entirely out of reach of mere mortals. Thankfully, though hard, it’s still possible to obtain a Rolex Explorer, arguably Rolex’s most practical watch, for a reasonable price. The Explorer is without doubt the Rolex watch with the most historical significance and deserves more attention. This is the 39mm version of the watch that was produced between 2010-2020 and is now discontinued, likely never to return again in this size. If you’re looking to purchase the world’s most iconic explorer’s watch but find the current (and vintage) 36mm versions too small, this is the watch for you. The watch is in worn but excellent condition, showing only extremely minor signs of wear upon close inspection. On first glance, the watch appears like-new, and the original factory case-back sticker is still on the watch. The watch comes as a complete set with box and papers.
