Description
The Rolex Submariner reference 14060 is the poster child for the most recognisable and popular dive watch ever released. It’s got it all – the elements of old and of new, and is a watch that sits on the dividing line between two eras of the iconic Submariner watch. This incredibly well-preserved example that we are presenting for sale is a reference 14060M which was first launched in 2001 and features a slightly upgraded movement (calibre 3130) from its predecessor. The differences aside, the Rolex Submariner is just a very special watch. As watch expert and renowned dealer Eric Wind so perfectly put it, the Submariner is the “platonic ideal of a watch”. We couldn’t agree more. This example has an “F” serial, indicating it was manufactured in 2003.
Accessories
The watch comes with its original papers, hang tag and Rolex service papers.
Condition
This watch had a complete service by Rolex Japan in August 2021 and has not been worn since. Accordingly, it is in excellent condition showing only very minor signs of wear upon close inspection. The 11-link Oyster bracelet with Oysterlock safety clasp is in similarly excellent condition showing only very minor signs of wear upon close inspection. The glossy black super-luminova dial and hands are in excellent condition.
Warranty
The watch is covered by Rolex’s two-year international service guarantee until August 2023.
