This Tudor Pelagos 39 was introduced in August this year and was an instant smash hit (as have many of the brand’s recent releases, they’ve been killing it). Is it any surprise? How can you fault this watch? It has all the essential characteristics of a serious dive watch including a ceramic bezel, in-house movement, superb legibility both day and night and it’s all housed in a titanium case sized at a very sensible 39mm. It begs the question, why in the world did Tudor (or any other brand) not produce a watch like this earlier? If you had asked for a checklist of what most collectors actually want, this watch would have been the result. Be that as it may, let’s just be thankful it’s here now. The bracelet features a matching folding titanium clasp with T-Fit extension system and 25mm wetsuit extension. Powering the watch is Tudor’s in-house calibre MT5400 featuring automatic winding, hacking seconds and 70-hour power reserve. The watch is in excellent condition, almost like-new condition. There are only extremely minor signs of wear present on the watch. The watch comes as a complete set with box and papers. The watch has been tested and inspected for performance and is in excellent working condition. Hailwood Peters guarantees the watch for authenticity. The original manufacturer's warranty is valid until September 2027.
